"As a Student Leadership Consultant our goal is to help our fellow students become leaders through campus involvement. We work with students to match their personal likes with a RSO as well as work the RSOs to help them become the best that they can be."

A Student Leadership Consultant (SLC) is a resource to help you or your Registered Student Organization (RSO) truly recognize all the other resources that the Student Engagement Office has to offer. Through peer-to-peer consultations, students can come to understand all the opportunities on campus as well as how to provide more opportunities for their fellow students.

Student Leadership Consultants are available through:

  • One-on-one appointments:  Students and RSO’s can meet privately in the Office of Student Engagement and ask questions and discuss any concerns they may have.
  • Presentations to classes and organizations: SLCs commonly present opportunities of involvement, volunteerism, and leadership to classes. SLCs also present tutorials on Student Allocations and Orgsync to RSOs in need of training.

DON’T FORGET! SLCs are a resource for students, if you have any questions about involvement, leadership, or volunteerism please contact the Office of Student Engagement by phone or email any of the SLCs personally. They are happy to assist you.

You may also stop by the Student Engagement Center, Suite 167, or call 256-765-4248 to schedule an appointment with a SLC.
