Lions Lend A Hand
Lions Lend A Hand is held during Pride Week at UNA, on the Tuesday before classes begin. Participants will be 'lending a hand' to the Shoals community, providing three hours of service to local non-profit agencies during the campus' largest community service event.
Volunteers are sent out into the community in groups of 10-20 to work alongside UNA Faculty and staff, University Program Council, SOAR Counselors and fellow classmates to complete various service projects. The participants are choosing to "lend a hand" and engage in their community--no matter what the service! Lions Lend A Hand provides a great opportunity for students to develop relationships with their classmates and form connections with community leaders, while gaining an appreciation for service and positively impacting the Shoals community.

Schedule of Events:
8:30 - 9:00am: Check-In & Site Selection
9:00 - 9:15am: Kick-off address & "Call to Serve"
9:15 - 9:30am: Load buses/Depart for sites
10:00am: Arrive at sites
10:00am - 1:30pm: Students complete service projects, 30 minute lunch (provided)
2:00 - 2:30pm: Arrive back on campus/Volunteer Fair
2:30pm: Closing remarks & thank you
