What:  The Cooperative Extension System is hosting the Northwest Alabama Senior Conference on Friday, September 12 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Florence/Lauderdale Coliseum. We are planning for 500 individuals age 50 and above to attend and participate in the conference. Lunch is provided for this event and as you would imagine it takes a lot of time and help to serve 500 individuals. We need a lot of volunteers to help prepare plates of food and serve the seniors drinks, meals, and desserts at their tables. We also usually provide breakfast food for the attendees but they serve themselves. We always need extra hands to help the seniors to and from their seats with food/drinks, checking in on vendors, manning other tables (registration), etc. We would be happy to have any students that are interested in volunteering.
