3. Convert LaGrange Studio Space to a more purposefully designed space.

Department of Residence Life Five-Year Goals 2012-2017

Assessment
1. Increase opening occupancy by 3% a year.
2. Increase returning resident retention rate by 3% a year.

Staffing
1. Create a 3rd AC position.
2. Create four Graduate Assistant Residence Director positions.
3. Create a Graduate Assistant for Programming position.
4. Create four more FYRE Fellows positions.
5. Create an Assignments and Operations Coordinator position.

Program
1. Create a required live on requirement.
2. Increase and place more emphasis on weekend programming.
3. Increase program resources for student staff, RHA, and professional staff.
4. Allocate $5 per semester for residence hall association programming.
5. Establish Hall Governance and have them be a presence in RHA.
6. Attend SAACURH and/or NACURH with RHA.
7. Support a University wide Transition Program.
8. Create and implement a pet policy for live in professional staff members.
9. Implement a full on-line application and contract process.
10. Expand the FOCUS Success Center in order to accommodate a small computer lab.

Building Environment Issues
1. Convert Multipurpose Rooms in Hawthorne and Covington Halls to a more purposefully designed space.
2. Liven up Rivers Ground Floor Lobby with Spirit gear.
3. Outfit computer labs with up to date units.
4. Convert LaGrange Studio Space to a more purposefully designed space.
5. In conjunction with the Department of Housing, transition the Cluster style residence halls to an academic year contract.
6. Transition Hawthorne and Covington Halls into Co-Ed by Suite style living.
